A Thought For The Day

Have you ever known someone in some kind of trouble, or who was sick, or had lost a loved one and you just didn't know what to say, or how to help?
My daughter Carol, wrote this poem and I believe if you have ever been in, or ever are in this situation this will help you through it.
Carol has given me permission to share it with you.
Please, Read it, Think about it, act on it, and be blessed.
SIT WITH ME
You may think that you have nothing
That could take away my pain,
For we often look for ‘tangible’,
Or for things that we can ‘say’.
And while it would be great, I guess
To hold to ‘treasures lost’,
Where hurts gained from the world at hand
Could vanish, and be tossed;
Sometimes the trial is just too great
To push it from our view -
That’s when my greatest need, my friend,
Just might be ‘time’ ... With you.

Like Job,
No words, no way, was found
To erase his ‘trail of tears’,
But his wise and caring friends arrived,
Announcing,
‘I am here’.
And when Job faced that trial alone,
Intended for ‘the end’,
His ‘sitting’ with someone who cared,
Brought strength,
To face the wind.

So, if you come without a ‘word’.
And don’t know what to say.
Just ‘sit with me’;
That is enough.
Then,
I’ll ‘see’ God today.
For He often shows His presence,
Through a gift that we all own;
A ‘sitting’ with someone who cares,
Echoes
‘I’m not alone’.

Sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone is your time! and yourself!
May God Bless You For Caring for others.
